The Meaning Solution Program – by Eric Maisel

Eric Maisel, PhD explains his Meaning Solution Program:

My main goal is to prevent you from being just another statistic.

I don’t want you to find yourself among the tens of millions of people who suffer from depression, the same large number who suffer from anxiety, and the even larger number who are keeping themselves busy—even very busy—but just going through the motions.

I don’t want you trying so hard at getting life right but only getting more frustrated as time flies by and your dissatisfaction mounts.

Millions of people are struggling with the sense that there must be more to life than what they’re experiencing—but nobody is helping them get that ‘more.’

They don’t even know where to look for it.

The place to look is the place where I’ve been working for decades. I work as a meaning coach and I train meaning coaches.

I’ve also created the field of existential cognitive-behavioral therapy (ECBT), the technical name for a field where meaning, thoughts, and behavior come together.

Here are the kinds of problems that my clients bring to me.

• A stay-at-home mom faces another day of laundry and meal-planning wondering where’s the meaning in all this?
• A novelist loses all interest in the novel he’s writing and doesn’t know what to do next.
• A lawyer feels stuck at work, where he’s making good money but working long hours in a stressful environment.
• An executive is holding off retirement because she can’t see what to do for the next thirty years—she knows that retirement might be a great opportunity, but for what?
• A young man is looking for spiritual nourishment but can’t find it any of the traditional places.
• Another young man, an Internet marketer, can’t figure out why he’s spending every hour of his waking day working on one promotion after another—it’s making him money, but isn’t there more to life than money?

All of these people know that they have a problem—but they can’t say what the problem is.

I’m guessing that you have problems like these and that you want more out of life but don’t know where to start.

I bet you’re pretty bored at work and find yourself just going through the motion.

You have trouble following through on your dreams, feel distressed by the way that time is slipping away, and feel overwhelmed by the tasks you face.

You may not have known it until right this second, but these are all meaning problems.

They will continue to wear you down until you learn how to meet your meaning problems with meaning solutions.

For years I’ve been helping people solve their meaning problems and I can help you.

It’s not that I have “five secrets” for you or “ten great tips” or anything of that sort.

I have more than that. I have a genuine program.

The Meaning Solution Program spells out what a meaning problem is and does more than identify generic solutions—it walks you step-by-step to your own personal solution.
